Sakarya-based Zümrüt Makine, known for its R&D investments and innovative approach in the production of agricultural machinery, continues to make new investments to increase its share in exports. The company’s General Manager, Zahit Şahin, stated that they have increased their production capacity with recent investments and aim to establish a stronger presence particularly in the American and European markets.
Şahin explained that Zümrüt Makine entered the sector with turf production, which is the company’s core business area, and started focusing on machinery manufacturing five years ago. He noted that what began as machinery production to meet their own needs has evolved into innovative products in response to growing demand.
Zümrüt Makine now mass-produces four main types of machines: irrigation, mowing, fertilization, and seed drill (planter) machines.
Şahin emphasized that they combine over 15 years of turf production experience with R&D investments, focusing especially on challenging areas that require complex solutions. He mentioned that prototype machines are tested in their own production facilities, saying, “We first use the machines we develop ourselves, and then launch them to the market. This way, our products gain acceptance quickly.”
Highlighting that all of Zümrüt Makine’s products are protected by patents and utility model certificates, Şahin said their machines stand out from competitors in terms of efficiency.

Şahin noted that they have invested in new machinery to strengthen their production infrastructure and that they continue operations in a 2,000-square-meter facility. “Exports are very important for us. While exports currently account for 10-15% of our production, we aim to increase this to 60% this year,” he added.
As a member of the Turfgrass Producers International (TPI), Zümrüt Makine continues its activities globally, starting its export journey with the U.S. In the European market, the company aims to grow through its partners in Poland and delivers its irrigation machines—developed for football fields, racetracks, and golf courses—directly to consumers.
Looking ahead, Zümrüt Makine plans to establish a sales network both in Turkey and globally. With its quality-focused production policy, the company aims to strengthen its position in the sector even further.
