Karmetal to Showcase High-Performance Cutting Technologies at MAKTEK Fair
Karmetal, which is focused on becoming a Turkish technology brand recognized in more countries around the world, aims to complete 2026 with stronger production and sales performance than last year. Founded in 1975, the company has built a strong infrastructure over five decades by combining its experience in machinery manufacturing with next-generation production technologies.
Karmetal International Sales Director Semih Kar said the company has reached a position where it exports technology from Türkiye to the world and that they aim to further strengthen this position.
Semih Kar also stated that, commercially, they are developing strategies to acquire new customers and project opportunities both in Türkiye and abroad, as well as new business partners, particularly in export markets.
High-Performance Cutting Technologies
Semih Kar also emphasized the important role of the machine tools sector in Türkiye’s goals for high value-added and technology-driven manufacturing, saying:
“For a country to produce high technology, it must first be able to develop machines that produce high technology. Therefore, I believe machinery manufacturing should not be viewed merely as a sector, but as one of the strategic areas of industry with a high multiplier effect. At the next stage, it is important for Türkiye not only to manufacture more machines, but also to produce machines incorporating higher levels of technology and export them. At Karmetal, our goal is to make Turkish engineering more visible in international markets. For this reason, MAKTEK Eurasia 2026 is not simply a trade fair where we showcase our products; it is also an important platform where we meet with our customers, dealers and international business partners. At the fair, we will particularly highlight our high-performance cutting technologies and automation solutions. Alongside our VORTEX and other high-tech CNC cutting solutions, we will also share our expertise in automation with visitors. For us, the most important aspect of the fair is not simply displaying products side by side, but being able to evaluate the customer’s production process from end to end. A customer may need more than just a sawing machine; they may require solutions covering the entire process, including material storage, automatic feeding, cutting, unloading and intralogistics within the factory. At Karmetal, we want to go beyond a single machine and offer comprehensive solutions at this point.”
