ENG Mineral to Launch Smart Machinery Revolution with Digital Technologies

ENG Mineral, which exports mining machinery to more than 20 countries, including China, is turning toward digital technologies to produce higher value-added machinery. The company, which has significant potential in exports, particularly in mineral processing and high-performance magnetic separation solutions, also plans to complete the construction of its second production facility by the second half of 2027.

ENG Mineral produces machinery and specialized systems for the mining, industrial raw materials, cement, iron and steel, metallurgy, refractory, food, chemical and recycling industries, among many other sectors. The company also establishes complete turnkey plants. Continuing its growth with a 5,000-square-meter production facility in Sakarya 1st Organized Industrial Zone and an R&D office at Sakarya University Technokent, the company exports 50 percent of its production to more than 20 countries.

Magnetic Separation Technologies

Engin Tumbaz, Founder and General Manager of ENG Mineral, said the company is taking strong steps toward becoming a leading global brand in magnetic separation technologies, magnet systems and mineral processing.

Stating that they see Central Asia, the Middle East, North Africa and developing countries in Africa in terms of mining as strategic markets for the coming period, Tumbaz said:

“Kazakhstan and the Central Asian countries around it are also important to us. This year, we aim to participate with a booth at the Mining and Metals Central Asia 2026 exhibition, which will be held in Kazakhstan in September, and establish new partnerships there. Likewise, we are carrying out serious efforts in the Egyptian and African markets. We are working on models involving local partnerships, distributorships, joint production and, when necessary, technology transfer. Our goal is to strengthen ENG Mineral’s sales and service capabilities in different regions of the world and to be as close to our customers as possible.”

Engin Tumbaz stated that they have significant potential in exports, particularly in mineral processing and high-performance magnetic separation solutions, and noted that with 22 years of accumulated knowledge and experience, ENG Mineral has become a recognized and sought-after name in global markets.

Tumbaz said they will further increase efficiency by developing technology-equipped machinery and continued:

“We will digitalize our machines in order to increase their added value. We are carrying out serious work on this issue at our office in the Technokent. We are designing new machines that do not currently exist anywhere in the world for the mining industry. We are working on electrostatic separation technologies. At a more advanced stage, we are developing a system that can optically identify and separate minerals using SWIR cameras, artificial intelligence and image processing. We will produce much more advanced technological machines capable of distinguishing elements from one another, with a level of precision that would allow us to separate salt from sugar. We will be able to monitor these machines remotely. We are striving to launch a smart machinery revolution. This has now become necessary and essential in our industry. We will bring this system to the industry and the economy this year while also increasing our customers’ efficiency. We are in a strong position in the Turkish market. We have become a preferred and sought-after company.”

Machines Not Produced Anywhere Else in the World

Engin Tumbaz said that while ENG Mineral continues its R&D and innovation activities, it is also working to complete its investment in a second facility. He stated that the new production facility, currently under construction on a 2,500-square-meter site, will represent an investment of TL 150 million and is scheduled to begin operations in the second half of 2027.

Stating that the new facility will serve as a production center for advanced-technology machinery, Tumbaz said:

“We are carrying out many R&D and innovation projects. To date, we have exported mining machinery to more than 20 countries, including China and Germany in particular. We produce machinery that meets the needs of our industry and is not produced anywhere else in the world. We have shifted our focus toward producing machinery with much higher added value and advanced technology, rather than machines with a value of $2 or $5 per kilogram. We will increase efficiency by developing technology-equipped machinery. We have raised our export value per kilogram to around $20. However, we plan to maintain this level and increase it even further in the near future.”

Trust, Quality and Engineering

Engin Tumbaz said they define ENG Mineral not simply as a machinery manufacturer, but also as an engineering company that develops processes and technologies in the field of magnetic separation.

Stating that they are continuing their investments in order to produce more digital and intelligent machinery, Tumbaz said:

“As part of our investment efforts for the future, we are also strengthening our office at the Technokent. Together with our partner company, we have a laboratory in Germany. We conduct trials on these machines there and present the results to our customers. We also have a 1,000-square-meter workshop in Egypt. We manufacture key components of our machines there. In addition to the Turkic Republics, we plan to become stronger in the African market as well. For the European market, we plan to deepen our presence not only in the mining sector but also in the recycling industry.
