Urban Transformation and Lake Sapanca are vital issues for Sakarya’s future

Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yusuf Alemdar met with representatives of chambers, associations, and the business community at a meeting held at AKOM. Providing information about the Metropolitan Municipality’s goals, projects, and urban plans, Alemdar said, “Urban transformation and Lake Sapanca are vital issues for Sakarya’s future.”

Stating that urban transformation is the most critical issue for Sakarya to withstand a possible earthquake, Alemdar continued as follows:

“Lake Sapanca, on the other hand, is Sakarya’s greatest heritage—its nature, its breath, and its everything. Protecting Lake Sapanca is our shared responsibility. Our city will always see determination and a strong stance from us on these two issues. In addition, our efforts continue to provide new alternative routes for the city and to ease traffic through the Yazlık Multi-Level Interchange and alternative road projects. We are also, God willing, bringing the rail system to our city. With ADARAY, we will ensure transportation to different parts of the city. Furthermore, work has begun on the Science Center, City Library, and Uzunçarşı restoration projects.”
