He also noted that the industrial burden will be moved from the city center to outer areas, while existing zones will be transformed into well-organized residential areas enriched with social relations and urban culture. Alemdar added that efforts are underway to introduce a new exhibition area and congress center to the city, aiming to open Sakarya’s producers to global markets.

Human-Centered Municipalism

Alemdar stated:

“With the signature of our President, small industrial sites have been declared urban transformation reserve areas. We have completed the infrastructure works. Building projects are finished, and we will provide our small industrialists and manufacturers with more organized industrial centers. Throughout this process, we have worked in coordination with our SATSO Chairman Akgün Altuğ. Likewise, our industrialists, producers, and professional committees are working for the development of this city. Our common goal is to serve this city, address its deficiencies, and shape its future. One of the major problems of our city was transportation, and we started from there. We have improved public transportation and are carrying it into the future. We provide our citizens with affordable transportation and water services. We are among the cities offering the most affordable transportation among metropolitan municipalities. Our primary focus is human-centered municipalism.”
