TANKON Steel Construction Plans to Continue Its Growth with the Balkan Countries

Developing its expertise in the construction industry through the production of steel structures and machine chassis, TANKON Steel Construction plans to continue its growth by expanding into the Balkan countries. The company, which started its activities in the construction sector as a contractor, has since carried its experience abroad and continues its operations today as a family business.

Doğan Tan, Technical Affairs Manager at TANKON Steel Construction, stated that they continue to grow abroad with their long-standing experience and knowledge in the construction industry. Emphasizing that they possess a strong production infrastructure supported by advanced machinery and R&D capabilities, Tan noted that their goal is sustainable growth in both steel structure and machine chassis production. He added that all production designs and drawings of steel structures are carried out by their in-house team of experts.

Providing information about their operations, Doğan Tan said:

“TANKON Steel Construction began its activities in 1974. It is an engineering company that has grown through experience passed down from father to son. Over the course of 51 years, the knowledge and expertise we have gained in the construction industry have enabled us to undertake significant international projects. We aim to take part in major projects in the Balkans, such as steel structure buildings, factory constructions, industrial facilities, and bridge constructions. We seek to expand our market both in Turkey and abroad in the fields of construction and machinery.”

In addition to reinforced concrete structures, civil engineer Hidayet Tan, who entered the structural steel industry in 1997 with four partners, established TANKON Steel Construction in 2008, continuing the company’s development in the sector.

Today, the company continues its operations under the name TANKON Steel Construction as a family business managed by Hidayet Tan and his sons, Doğan Tan, a civil engineer, and Cihan Tan, a mechanical and welding engineer. Operating on a total area of 7,200 square meters—4,500 of which is enclosed—the company has a production capacity of up to 350–400 tons per month, reflecting its strong production infrastructure built over the years.
