SUBÜ Has Built a Strong University Model in Eight Years

Sakarya University of Applied Sciences (SUBÜ) Rector Mehmet Sarıbıyık stated that the university has been striving to develop an educational model that prepares students directly for professional and social life.

Speaking at a press conference organized on the occasion of SUBÜ’s 8th anniversary, Rector Sarıbıyık said that the university had doubled its progress over the past eight years and has become one of the institutions drawing attention with its rapid development.

SUBÜ Is a Young University

Emphasizing that the university has built a strong institutional model within a relatively short period, Sarıbıyık shared the following remarks:

"Since our establishment in 2018, we have aimed to go beyond the traditional understanding of a university. We have worked closely with the business world, focused on practical education, and sought to develop a university model that prepares students directly for life. Over these eight years, we have demonstrated multidimensional progress ranging from education and employment to industry collaboration, technology, quality processes, international branding, social development, and digital transformation. SUBÜ may be a young university, but in terms of growth and development speed, it is among the universities attracting attention in Türkiye. More importantly, we value the impact we create beyond simply counting years."

Green and Smart Campus Vision

Highlighting that the university’s main goal is to shape the university of the future at every step, Sarıbıyık stated that the new campus project will be designed as a smart and green campus.

He explained that development efforts for the new campus continue with a vision centered on sustainability, environmental awareness, technology, accessibility, and student-focused living spaces.

Sarıbıyık added:

"Eight years ago, we began this journey with great enthusiasm. Today, we take pride in building a university recognized for its applied education approach, strong connections with industry, commitment to quality culture, technology production capacity, and growth alongside the city itself. In the coming years, we aim to further strengthen a university structure that guides artificial intelligence and digital transformation processes, implements the green and smart campus model, prepares students for the future, and remains at the center of entrepreneurship and production ecosystems."
