Technology Competitions Coordination Office

Speaking at the signing ceremony, SUBÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sarıbıyık emphasized the university’s strategic role in the R&D ecosystem and said:

“As SUBÜ, we apply our vision of ‘Integrating Knowledge with Skills’ not only in education but also in entrepreneurship and technology development processes. Our Technology Competitions Coordination Office paves the way for our students to participate in production and to extend this production into entrepreneurship. With the DeepCube Program, we are building a strong bridge that brings together the academic expertise within our R&D ecosystem and the field experience of our defense industry. The transformation of deep-technology-focused ideas produced by our young entrepreneurs into tangible projects with the support of major institutions such as Roketsan and BMC Power is of vital importance for our country’s goals of full technological independence. As SUBÜ, we are proud to be one of the strongest stakeholders in this innovation journey.”

Technology Transfer Office and Nehir Technokent

Within the scope of the cooperation, SUBÜ focuses primarily on talented students trained within the Technology Competitions Coordination Office, as well as all entrepreneur candidates across Sakarya. In the process of commercializing innovative business ideas, SUBÜ—through its Technology Transfer Office and Nehir Technokent—will provide support in business model development and validation processes, professional mentoring, consultancy for company formation and commercialization stages, as well as sectoral connections and networking mechanisms.

Product development support will be provided through prototyping processes fully aligned with industrial needs. Infrastructure facilities will be offered, including access to laboratories, clean rooms, and modern workshops. Matching privileges will be granted through direct collaboration channels with Teknopark İstanbul companies. Setting out with the motto “Deep technology grows with the right support,” DeepCube aims to elevate the domestic technology initiative in the defense industry to the next level by combining it with SUBÜ’s academic strength.
