Having completed the first phase of its $5 million investment, MKT Makina plans to move to its new production facility, covering approximately 16,000 square meters, as of 2027. The company, whose production activities largely focus on aircraft cabin systems, manufactures structural components for aircraft seats as well as high-strength aluminum components used inside aircraft cabins.
Based in Sakarya, MKT Makina is preparing to take its high-precision manufacturing capabilities for the civil aviation and defense industries to the next level through new investments. Continuing its growth under the leadership of Yunus Emre Madak, one of Sakarya’s young-generation industrialists, the company aims not only to increase its production capacity but also to bring aluminum forging, heat treatment and composite production processes under one roof, with the goal of becoming one of Türkiye’s integrated aviation manufacturers serving global markets.
Founded in 2007, MKT Makina began its journey with the production of precision machined components, fixtures, tooling, molds and quality-control gauges. Today, the company has evolved into a manufacturer operating according to international standards and meeting the high-quality requirements of the civil aviation and defense industries. Since 2012, the company has participated in international aviation projects, particularly those involving Turkish Cabin Interior Systems (TCI), and has developed expertise in manufacturing high-precision structural components used in aircraft cabin systems.
MKT Makina General Manager and Partner Yunus Emre Madak said the company’s growth strategy was not based solely on increasing production capacity, emphasizing that they preferred investments that would create value for future generations rather than focusing on short-term growth.
Madak said their investments were not planned simply to meet existing orders and increase production, but rather to take part in aviation projects over the next 20 years and establish a structure that brings engineering, manufacturing and process management together under one roof while offering high added value to customers.

EYDEP A Level
Madak stated that they had successfully transferred the engineering and manufacturing experience they had gained over the years in the civil aviation industry to the defense sector, adding:
“Thanks to the manufacturing capabilities we have achieved today, we are among the reliable manufacturers in the international aviation supply chain. We position MKT Makina not merely as a manufacturing company, but as a strategic solution partner that supports its customers from product development processes through to mass production. Aviation manufacturing is not simply about machining. Process management, full traceability, a quality culture and engineering discipline must be carried out together. We are building all our investments around this understanding.”
Noting that quality systems are at the heart of sustainable success in the aviation industry, Madak said MKT Makina had successfully completed its latest general audit conducted under the AS9100 quality management system.
Madak also stated that the company holds a Level B certification under the EYDEP Program implemented by the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB). He said their goal was to achieve EYDEP Level A next year and become a strategic partner in defense industry projects requiring higher levels of technology.
Aluminum Forging, Heat Treatment and Composite Production
Madak said the company would add entirely new capabilities to its manufacturing infrastructure through its new investments and provided the following information:
“With our new facility, we will bring critical processes such as aluminum forging, heat treatment and, subsequently, composite production in-house. This will reduce our dependence on external suppliers, strengthen our quality control, shorten delivery times and enable us to offer much more integrated solutions to our customers.
“We have completed a $5 million investment in the aluminum forging facility, one of the company’s most important investments. At the same time, we will commission our heat treatment infrastructure. Today, production obtained using approximately 600 tons of aluminum can be reduced to around 350 tons through forging technology. This transformation will not only provide a cost advantage; it will also increase raw material efficiency, reduce the need for imported aluminum and create a more sustainable production model.
“This investment is the first step in our long-term growth strategy. Over the next five years, we are targeting a total investment of $25 million. Our goal is not simply to expand our machinery park, but to create a manufacturing ecosystem that develops technology, has strong engineering capabilities, focuses on exports and generates high added value.”

A Turkish Brand Trusted by the Global Aviation Industry
Madak stated that they aim to allocate a significant portion of their annual turnover to R&D activities, emphasizing that technology investments form the foundation of value-added manufacturing.
He also said they believe bringing technology to the country is a national responsibility, adding:
“Composite production will also be one of the most important areas of our growth strategy in the coming period. Every kilogram is extremely important in aviation. Lighter, stronger and more efficient materials will shape the manufacturing approach of the future.
“Our long-term goal is not simply to increase production capacity. We will continue developing our capabilities in critical aviation systems that require advanced engineering. We believe Türkiye needs to be among the countries that not only manufacture, but also develop engineering solutions, produce technology and develop critical components.
“For Türkiye to compete globally in aviation, it needs to improve not only its production capacity but also its engineering, materials technologies and advanced manufacturing capabilities. At MKT Makina, we are planning our investments with this understanding and working to ensure that Türkiye becomes a stronger player in next-generation aviation projects.
“Our goal is not simply to become a larger company; it is to become a strategic manufacturing brand born in Türkiye and trusted and preferred by the global aviation industry.”
