A delegation representing the “Sakarya International Machinery and Metal Cluster,” established through the partnership of the Sakarya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SATSO) and the Sakarya Machinery Manufacturers Association (SAMİB) with the support of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Trade, visited the People’s Republic of China to attend the first phase of the 139th Canton Fair.

Organized by SATSO’s Project and Business Development Directorate, the program enabled the delegation to examine products in the fields of electronics, machinery, and construction materials at the fair held in Guangzhou. The delegation also engaged in bilateral business meetings (B2B) and explored opportunities for cooperation.
During the fair, the delegation visited numerous company stands, promoting Sakarya’s production potential while also observing innovative production models that could contribute to local industry. They closely examined advanced manufacturing technologies and AI-supported equipment, and exchanged valuable insights with participating firms.

In addition to the fair, the delegation visited various production facilities and factories in China, gaining firsthand knowledge of manufacturing processes and operational systems.
The delegation, which attended the fair throughout its duration between April 15–19, concluded its program with a visit to Türkiye’s Consul General in Guangzhou, Adnan Hayal, and Trade Attaché Şerife Yıldırım Demirel. During the meeting, SATSO and SAMİB’s activities were introduced, and discussions were held on Sakarya’s production dynamics and potential trade cooperation with China.
Following the intensive program, the delegation returned to Sakarya, aiming to utilize the experience gained from bilateral meetings and official contacts to enhance the “Sakarya International Machinery and Metal Cluster” project and strengthen the export capacity of participating companies.
