The General Assembly of the German-Turkish Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Turkey) was held in Istanbul. During the assembly on June 26, 2025, a new board of directors was elected with the aim of further strengthening Turkish-German economic relations.
Ali İhsan Güneş, one of Sakarya’s prominent businesspeople and a Board Member of FGİ Door and Loading Technologies Inc., which operates in the field of industrial doors and loading technologies in Sakarya, was elected as the Vice President of the Board of Directors of the German-Turkish Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Turkey).
The new AHK Turkey Board of Directors for the upcoming term is as follows: President: Bige Yücel (Siemens Turkey) Vice President: Ali İhsan Güneş (FGİ Door and Loading Technologies) Treasurer: Gamze Gökçen Pilevne (Mercedes-Benz Türk) Members: Asuman Yıldırım (Bosch), Ercivan Yağış (Babgencel), Dr. Philipp Ulbrich (Enerjisa), Neslihan Tosun Kayhan (Koluman), Andreas Radel (Ejot Tezmak) TOBB Representative: Mehmet Eskiyapan DIHK (Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry) Representative: Burkhardt Hellemann
Ali İhsan Güneş, a businessman from Sakarya with significant experience in international trade, industrial solutions, and logistics technologies, is well known for his long-standing work within FGİ.
With his new role at AHK Turkey, Güneş aims to contribute more effectively to Turkish-German economic relations. In his statement regarding the appointment, he said:
"It is a great honor for me to take on this responsibility at a well-established and influential institution like AHK Turkey. Under the leadership of our President Ms. Bige Yücel, we will work with our new board to carry out projects that will further advance the relations between the Turkish and German business communities. We aim to make concrete contributions in areas such as the integration of SMEs into international markets, digital transformation, and sustainability."
With the new administration, AHK Turkey is expected to continue its vision of strengthening economic ties between the two countries and to maintain its position as a strategic platform guiding the business world.
