Toyota Technical Project Competition award ceremony held

The “Toyota Technical Project Competition,” organized in cooperation with the Sakarya Governorship, Sakarya Provincial Directorate of National Education, and Toyota Motor Manufacturing Turkey, concluded with a final exhibition and award ceremony.

The competition, which aims to discover the scientists of the future, attracted strong interest from public and private middle schools and high schools in Sakarya, as well as the provinces of Bilecik, Bolu, Düzce, and Kocaeli. During the 2025–2026 academic year, a total of 99 project applications were submitted, including 45 in the environmental category and 54 in technology and design. Following evaluations, the best projects from each category were selected, and a total of 20 finalist projects earned the right to be exhibited.

The program was attended by Takanori Suzuki, Hasan Uygun, and Deputy Director of National Education Atalay Gürbüz.

Türkiye Century Education Model

Speaking during the ceremony held at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Turkey exhibition area, Atalay Gürbüz emphasized the alignment of the projects with the Türkiye Century Education Model and said:

“The projects exhibited here today clearly demonstrate that our students are not only individuals who access knowledge but also those who transform it. You are the strongest representatives of a generation that thinks, produces, and will shape the future.”

Technology and environment-focused projects

The competition was organized at middle school and high school levels under two main categories: “Environment” and “Technology and Design.” In the technology category, digital and mechanical solutions that make human life easier came to the forefront, while the environment category focused on waste management, recycling, and sustainable living models.

After the finalist projects were evaluated by the jury, awards were presented to the winning students. Within the scope of the competition, first-place winners received laptop computers, second-place winners received tablets, third-place winners received smartwatches, and fourth- and fifth-place winners were awarded wireless headphones.
