Speaking at the event, Semih Uçar, Chairman of the Sakarya Branch of the Chamber of Civil Engineers and a Civil Engineer, emphasized the critical role of civil engineering in public safety and quality of life.

“Civil engineering is an extremely important and critical profession in terms of public safety and quality of life. In Sakarya, it is of great importance to closely follow innovative technologies and up-to-date engineering practices that enhance structural safety. It should never be forgotten that the calculation and design processes of structures must be carried out with a meticulous engineering approach and that projects should be designed and supervised by qualified and competent engineers. Likewise, all construction practices must be subject to rigorous and professional inspection. Today's valuable seminar on Post-Tensioning Technology and Seismic Isolation in Bridges and Buildings is a clear example of this commitment. As the Sakarya Branch of the Chamber of Civil Engineers, we consider supporting professional development, raising public awareness, and bringing our members together with the latest technologies and engineering practices among our primary responsibilities. We believe that the events we organize make significant contributions to knowledge sharing, professional solidarity, and the development of cooperation among the construction sector, universities, and public institutions. I would like to thank the executives of FREYSAŞ for sharing their valuable knowledge and experience with us during this seminar.”

The seminar provided engineers, academics, and industry representatives with an opportunity to gain insights into the latest developments in structural engineering, particularly in the fields of seismic protection and advanced construction technologies.
