Signatures have been signed for the Mollaköy Canoe–Rowing Course, Nation’s Garden, and Water Park project, which will be the largest sports and social life investment in Sakarya’s history.

With the protocol signed between Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yusuf Alemdar and Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Cemil Boz, the process for this historic investment has officially begun.
The protocol ceremony held at AKOM was attended by Chairwoman of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye’s Commission on Equal Opportunities for Women and Men (KEFEK) Çiğdem Erdoğan, AK Party Sakarya Members of Parliament Ali İnci, Ertuğrul Kocacık and Murat Kaya, MHP Sakarya MP Muhammed Levent Bülbül, AK Party Provincial Chairman Yunus Tever, and MHP Provincial Chairman Oğuz Alkaş.

A Sports Facility Built to European Standards
The project, to be established on a 1.6 million square meter area in Mollaköy, Arifiye, will be the first and only facility of its kind in Türkiye. Designed to train athletes in Olympic sports disciplines, the facility will be built with the capacity to host international competitions.
Within the scope of the project, an internationally standardized canoe and rowing course with a width of 160 meters and a length of 2,200 meters will be created. Thanks to its lane system that can serve six teams simultaneously, the facility will be suitable for both professional competitions and training purposes.

Planned at a fully Olympic level, the complex will feature grandstands, athlete accommodation areas, locker rooms, dining halls, and a water sports center. It will also stand out with its rowing and canoe training areas, competition and experience ponds, viewing terraces, and various social amenities.

In the Nation’s Garden section of the project, citizens will be offered a large social living area intertwined with nature. The project will include sports fields, an archery center, children’s playgrounds, picnic and walking areas, green spaces, parks, relaxation areas, an adventure park, and camping areas. In addition, a traffic education park, workshops, equestrian facilities, and areas offering local delicacies will also be made available to the public.
Once completed, the Mollaköy Canoe–Rowing Course, Nation’s Garden, and Water Park Project will turn Sakarya into a significant center where sports, nature, and social life come together.
