Sakarya University, Anadolu University, and Jingdezhen University to Establish a Joint Laboratory

Sakarya University and Anadolu University will establish a joint laboratory with Jingdezhen Ceramic University, one of China’s long-established higher education institutions.
Continuing its internationalization vision, Sakarya University has signed a strategic cooperation protocol with Jingdezhen Ceramic University, one of China’s well-rooted universities, together with Anadolu University. Following discussions between the parties, it was decided to establish a Joint Laboratory that will enhance student and academic mobility and support scientific research and publication output.
The protocol was signed on December 7 at a ceremony held at the Jingdezhen Ceramic University Xianghu Campus, as part of the 7th Central China Design Education International Forum, following meetings held between December 2–4. Representing Sakarya University, Vice Rector and Dean of the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture Prof. Dr. Halit Yaşar and Vice Dean Assoc. Prof. Dicle Öney Ertürk attended the ceremony. Anadolu University was represented by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Serpil Koçdar and Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts Prof. Duygu Kahraman. The host institution was represented by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Huang Yong. The protocol was signed by Prof. Dr. Halit Yaşar, Prof. Dr. Serpil Koçdar, and Prof. Dr. Huang Yong.

Ceramic Materials Science and Advanced Manufacturing Technologies
The laboratory to be established under the protocol aims to conduct joint research in areas such as ceramic materials science, advanced manufacturing technologies, innovative design, and the preservation of cultural heritage. The center will play a critical role in increasing scientific publication output, transferring research results into industrial applications, and training qualified human resources.
The collaboration will also strengthen student and academic exchange between Türkiye and China within the framework of the “Belt and Road” initiative, supporting long-term academic engagement.
