Nehir Technopark to Be Completed by the End of 2026

The construction of the Nehir Technopark by Sakarya University of Applied Sciences (SUBÜ) is planned to be completed by the end of 2026. In this context, following the initial support of 50 million liras provided before the start of construction, the Ministry of Industry and Technology has allocated an additional 100 million liras for Nehir Technopark. Thus, the total funding transferred for the construction of Nehir Technopark has reached 150 million liras.

Nehir Technopark will enable innovation and R&D activities in thematic areas such as autonomous and alternative energy, industrial artificial intelligence, mechatronic manufacturing, agricultural technologies, health technologies, and the defense industry.

Providing information that preliminary applications have started to be collected via Nehir Technopark’s website, SUBÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sarıbıyık stated:

“Our partnership structure includes Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality, Sakarya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sakarya Commodity Exchange, Arifiye Municipality, Sakarya 1st Organized Industrial Zone, and Sakarya 2nd Organized Industrial Zone. At present, the formwork for the final floor slab of our new building has been completed. Beam and slab reinforcement works are ongoing. Following the concrete pouring scheduled for next week, the reinforced concrete works will be completed. Afterwards, wall construction, electrical and mechanical installations, and façade works will begin. Our goal is to complete the building by the end of the year.”
