Innovative Ideas from Youth to Shape Sakarya’s Future

The voting phase has begun for the “Youth Participatory Project Workshop 2025–2026 Idea Competition,” launched by the Strategy Development Department of Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality.
The competition, which aims to encourage young people to contribute to Sakarya’s future with innovative ideas, will remain open for public voting via www.sakarya.bel.tr until May 3, 2026.
Organized with a transparent and participatory governance approach, the project that receives the highest number of votes from citizens will be awarded the “Sakarya Urbanism Award.” In addition, each of the other projects ranking in the top 10 will receive a Participation Incentive Award.
Within the scope of the Youth Participatory Project Workshop, projects in various fields such as food, environment and water management, architecture and urban design, transportation and urban mobility, youth, sports and culture, social services, and digitalization are competing. The creative ideas developed by young participants aim to contribute to Sakarya’s vision of becoming a sustainable and smart city.
