Cooperation Agreement Signed Between Sakarya University and DİA Software

A ten-year cooperation protocol has been signed between Sakarya University and DİA Software Industry to provide students with practical training in the field of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).

The signing ceremony, held at Sakarya University, was attended by Sakarya University Rector Prof. Dr. Hamza Al, DİA Software General Manager Suha Onay, Sales Director Kemal Palancı, Project Manager Sakine Gürel, Graphic Design Specialist Eren Özçelik, Umay Tüm Bilişim Co-founder Aycan Fırtın, the Dean of the Faculty of Business, Faculty Advisory Board Member Özgür Koca, and faculty members.

As part of the protocol signed by Rector Prof. Dr. Hamza Al and DİA Software General Manager Suha Onay, an ERP Laboratory will be established within the Faculty of Business at Sakarya University. All necessary hardware and software support for the lab will be provided free of charge by the company.


ERP Training

Under the agreement, ERP training for students will be offered in two formats. The first is a 14-week elective course delivered by the faculty each semester. The second is a 40-hour, practice-based "Micro-Credential Program." The number and scope of the elective courses will be determined based on the needs of departments within the Faculty of Business, including Business Administration (Turkish and English), International Trade, Human Resources, Management Information Systems, and Health Management.

Certification and Internship Opportunities

At the end of the program, participating students will receive a certificate of attendance. In addition, the top five students with the highest scores in the evaluation exam will be awarded internships—three at DİA Software and two at the company’s authorized business partner in Sakarya.

As part of the protocol, the software company will also organize a “Train-the-Trainer” program for academic staff. Furthermore, a minimum of 20 hours of ERP module training will be provided annually to faculty members. Training content will include hands-on sessions, real-life scenarios, and guidance on current system usage.
