Strategic Advantage Chairman of the Söğütlü OIZ Board of Directors, Gökhan Tiryaki, shared details about the current operations, expropriation, and infrastructure processes, stating:

“The Organized Industrial Zone has been established on an area of 224.57 hectares within the borders of Kantar and Fındıklı neighborhoods of Söğütlü district. Söğütlü OIZ is located 27 km from Sakarya city center, 5 km from Söğütlü district center, 35 km from Karasu Port, 15 km from the Northern Marmara Highway, and 5 km from the planned Söğütlü Railway Station. With this location, the region holds a strategic advantage in terms of transportation, logistics, and production infrastructure. Ninety-five percent of the expropriation works have been completed. Title deeds have been registered under the OIZ, and preliminary land allocations have reached 75%.”

Designed as a Green OIZ Model

Tiryaki emphasized that the Söğütlü OIZ has been designed according to the “Green Organized Industrial Zone” model. He explained that this model is based on energy and resource efficiency, minimizing environmental impact, and equipped with renewable energy and waste management systems. Tiryaki continued:

"Approximately 75% of the industrial area has been preliminarily allocated to investors, and expropriation has been completed at a rate of 95%. To date, 219 companies have applied for preliminary allocation, covering a total of 3,409,150 square meters, and 78 companies have received investment approval. Of these, 44 have signed contracts, initiating the active investment process. Once fully operational, Söğütlü OIZ is expected to provide employment for over 10,000 people and achieve an export volume exceeding 1 billion USD.”
