2026 Will Be the Year of Sakarya’s Rise

“We will reopen the AKM in the new year with its new look. Restoration works at the historic Uzunçarşı are nearing completion. In terms of urban transformation, 2026 will be a year in which tangible steps are taken. The Yazlık Junction, Rail System, AFA Cultural Center, Municipal Service Building, 17 football fields, the Arifiye Youth Center, sports halls and social parks in Adapazarı, Erenler and Kaynarca will all be brought together with our city in the new year through many projects and services. The year 2026 will be the year of openings, new projects, and Sakarya’s rise. The third phase of restoration works at the historic Uzunçarşı is progressing rapidly. By launching the tenders for the Municipal Service Building and the AFA Cultural and Congress Center in the new year, we will provide our city with lasting landmarks. We have implemented sports investments across the city one by one. We have started work on the Youth Center and Swimming Pool in Arifiye. We opened the New Neighborhood Coastal Park in Karasu, are renovating Ferizli Atatürk Park and Kaynarca Aziz Duran Park, and are bringing the Rhythm Park to Söğütlü. In Adapazarı, we have reached the final stage of our Sustainable Park project.”
