Wholesale Turkish Market to Open in Ghana

Turkish products will enter the African market through Ghana. The Anatolia Trade Center Wholesale Turkish Market, currently being established in Ghana’s capital, Accra, is planned to be completed by December.

Providing information about the project, Alperen Buray, Chairman of the Board of Hacettepe Export, said they are working to establish a sustainable and strong trade ecosystem in Africa.

Buray stated that the center will bring Turkish companies together with Africa’s rapidly growing market. He said Turkish products such as textiles, food, chemicals, plastics, machinery, automotive products and furniture will be sold directly, without intermediaries, at the Trade Center Wholesale Turkish Market, allowing them to reach end consumers at lower prices.

Alperen Buray provided the following information:

“We aim to become the center of sustainable exports in Africa. We plan to open the Trade Center Wholesale Turkish Market in Ghana by December, where products from Turkish manufacturers will be sold wholesale 365 days a year. The facility will have 10,000 square meters of indoor space and another 10,000 square meters of outdoor space. Companies operating in Ghana today will have a say in a market worth $250 billion in Sub-Saharan Africa in the future, and in a market worth $1.5 trillion across Africa as a whole.”
