Started exporting from Europe, aims to grow in Europe

Özbir Wagon Industry, which is preparing to celebrate its 20th anniversary, aims to grow in

the railway sector with strategic vehicles. Founded to perform wagon maintenance and repair work, the company has plans for new investments to strengthen its infrastructure so that it can meet the demands from Europe within its own organization. The company offers a wide range of services, including passenger and freight wagons, metro vehicles, trams, locomotives, and railway maintenance vehicles, to its project partners.

Ömer Çelebi, Chief Engineer of Özbir Wagon Industry, provided information about their

production activities and new investment plans. He stated that their new strategy is to grow in the European market, where they first started exporting. He emphasized that their technical infrastructure is well-recognized across Europe and that their design capabilities are high. He also mentioned that the company, which initially started with wagon maintenance and repairs, has now expanded into production and, as of 2023, is in a position to design its own vehicles. Çelebi said:

"Over the years, we have become a global solution partner for OEMs in our industry."

He continued, "Our primary goal in the short and medium term is to stand out in the production of railway track maintenance vehicles. We are already working on production in this field. In the short term, we plan to design and manufacture railway track maintenance vehicles under our own brand. We have significant expertise and infrastructure in this field, and we want to specialize in this area."

Çelebi also stated that Özbir Wagon Industry, which has continuously developed itself since its establishment in 2005, has successfully implemented many projects. He continued: "We have accumulated significant know-how in railway vehicles, and by utilizing this potential, we will focus on producing strategic products for high-speed trains, trams, and metro systems. Over time, we will also achieve localization in these productions. As Özbir Wagon Industry, we have designed and developed many products, such as complete toilet modules, driver desks, and accessible platforms, which we have introduced to the industry through production. We have added new products to the sector over the years."
