Sakarya Strengthens Its Infrastructure with New Investments

AK Party Sakarya Provincial Chairman Yunus Tever stated that the Presidential Decree on the Approval and Implementation of the 2026 Investment Program has been published in the Official Gazette, noting that Sakarya is further strengthening its infrastructure with new investments. Tever emphasized that investments for Sakarya continue uninterrupted in every field, from agriculture to infrastructure, from justice to health, and from public security to transportation.

Stating that the AK Party continues its policy of works and services without interruption, Tever said that an allocation of 3.5 billion Turkish lira has been set aside for the Sakarya City Hospital; 150 thousand lira for the Tram Line between the New Stadium and the University Campus; 2.06 billion lira for the Ballıkaya Storage, Drinking Water Supply and Transmission Line; and 195 million lira for Climate- and Disaster-Resilient City Support.
Touching on investments in justice and security, Tever noted that allocations have been made amounting to 850 million lira for the New Sakarya Courthouse, 346 million lira for the Sakarya Provincial Police Headquarters and Provincial Gendarmerie Command, 441 million lira for the Hendek Courthouse, and 213 million lira for the Geyve Courthouse.

Transportation Projects
Stressing that transportation projects are of great importance for Sakarya’s future, Tever stated that allocations include 4.019 billion lira for the Adapazarı–Karasu Port and Industrial Facilities Railway Connection Project; 400 million lira for the Kaynarca–Karasu Twin-Tube Tunnel and Road; 120 million lira for the Mekece–Adapazarı Road; 67 million lira for the Yazlık Grade-Separated Intersection; 450 million lira for the Ormanköy–Akyazı Dokurcun 4th Region Border Road; 400 million lira for the Kaynarca–Karasu–Akçakoca Road; 800 million lira for the Ağva–Kandıra–Kaynarca Road; and 25 million lira for the restoration of the Justinianus Bridge.

Agriculture, Water and Environmental Investments
Providing information on agricultural and environmental investments, Tever said: “Within the scope of water, agriculture and environmental investments, 200 million lira has been allocated for the Beşevler Dam and Irrigation Project; 455 million lira for DSİ Sakarya Early Flood Warning Systems, stream rehabilitation works and risk management planning; 40 million lira for the Karasu Maden Stream and Coastal Reinforcement; 80 million lira for the strengthening of the Sakarya Meat Processing Plant and construction of a new service building; 20 million lira for the construction of TMO Sakarya warehouses; and 64 million lira for the construction of the TMO Sakarya service building. These projects will make Sakarya more resilient to climate change and disasters.”

Strategic Projects in Industry, Energy and Education
Drawing attention to investments in industry, energy and education, Tever noted that allocations include 4.125 billion lira for the Bilecik–Sakarya–Kocaeli High-Speed Train Line and Doğançay realignments; 4.383 billion lira for the construction of the BOTAŞ Adapazarı Compressor Station; 1.5 billion lira for the TÜRASAŞ Sakarya Factory Investment; 195 million lira for the National Tram Set Design; 330 million lira for Sakarya University; 245 million lira for Sakarya University of Applied Sciences; and 450 million lira for the Provincial Public Library.

Stating that they will continue to work for Sakarya’s future, Tever concluded: “These investments, which add value to our city’s development, employment and future, are among the most concrete indicators of the AK Party’s policy of works and services. I extend my gratitude to all those who contributed—especially our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who, with his vision and leadership, guides our Turkey Century goals, as well as our ministers, institutions and everyone involved—for making these important projects a reality in Sakarya.”
