Akcoat, continued its strong growth in 2024

Operating globally for nearly 50 years, Akcoat continues its strong growth with innovative investments. The company achieved a consolidated revenue of over 118 million dollars, with export revenue reaching 70 million dollars, accounting for approximately 61% of its total revenue. In the past year, Akcoat continued its social responsibility projects with full speed, touching lives, especially in the regions where it operates, and offering new opportunities to young people.

Over 40 million dollars in investments over 5 years

Akcoat’s Deputy General Manager, Ömer Semiz, stated that Akcoat, operating in more than 65 countries across 6 continents, completed the year 2024 with strong growth, thanks to its dynamic structure and corporate governance approach.Ömer Semiz provided the following information: “Last year, we based our growth plans on maximizing the use of our current capacity, reducing costs, and increasing our competitive advantage in the market. The stagnation in global and local markets, high interest rates, and economic uncertainties led to a forecast of a contraction in sales. However, we focused on sustainability by developing strategies that prioritized efficiency. Through moves to reduce fixed unit costs, we aimed to build a foundation that will strengthen both our profitability and competitiveness in the long term. As a result, we achieved consolidated revenue of over 118 million dollars in this challenging year. At the same time, with over 40 million dollars in investments in R&D, digitalization, and innovation over the past 5 years, we solidified our position in the international market and are moving forward with determination toward leadership.”

500 jobs created

Ömer Semiz stated that with export revenue approaching 70 million dollars, approximately 61% of their revenue came from export sales. He emphasized that their contributions to the Turkish economy and employment were supported by ongoing successes both domestically and internationally.He also mentioned that they continued to approach society's needs with sensitivity and make a difference through their social responsibility projects: “We know that each region has its own dynamics, needs, and dreams. As Akcoat, we don’t hesitate to take responsibility with this in mind. With our social responsibility projects, we aim to touch the lives of people in our region, offer opportunities to young people, and ensure they look to the future with hope. For example, we support young people in turning their theoretical knowledge into practice through various internship programs. We believe that investing in our youth means building the future of our region. We will continue to develop new societal projects for our region.”

He emphasized that their employment opportunities contributed to the local economy and that their employment policies focused not only on efficiency and profitability but also on the well-being of individuals: “Employment is not just a number for us, it's a life story. Every new job opportunity means a family smiling, a young person realizing their dreams. With the 500 jobs we’ve created in our region, we indirectly contribute to nearly 2000 households. In this way, while contributing to the local economy, we are also helping our people put down roots in their hometowns.
