A National Electric High-Speed ​​Train Set Manufacturing Factory is Being Established in Sakarya

The construction of the National Electric High-Speed Train Set Manufacturing and Testing Factory has begun within the Türkiye Rail System Vehicles Inc. (TÜRASAŞ) Sakarya Regional Directorate. The factory, which will contribute 3.5 billion TL annually to the economy, will also provide employment for 250 people.

Being built on a 15,000-square-meter area, the High-Speed Train Factory will produce domestically designed electric high-speed trains capable of reaching 225 km/h, as well as other rail system vehicles that will shape the future of Turkey’s railway industry. Once completed, the new facility will have the capacity to manufacture and test 12 high-speed train sets annually. This will enable Turkey to reduce its foreign dependency and strengthen its competitive position in railway transportation technologies.

Sakarya Becomes a Strategic Hub for Rail System Production

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that upon completion, the factory will make Sakarya a strategic center for rail system production. He also emphasized that Sakarya will not only be a production hub but will also take the lead in testing and technology development in the rail systems sector.
