Sakarya’s Exports in September Reached 614 Million Dollars

Sakarya’s exports for September 2025 amounted to 614 million dollars, ranking 7th among Turkey’s top exporting provinces.

In September, the top five export sectors of Sakarya were the automotive industry, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, machinery and equipment, chemicals and chemical products, and the steel industry.

Compared to the previous year, Sakarya achieved export growth in 15 out of 25 main sectors.

During the first nine months of the year, there was a significant increase in exports (in USD terms) in the sectors of Textiles and Raw Materials, Ornamental Plants and Products, Aquatic Products and Animal Derivatives, Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products, and Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals.

Sakarya increased its exports to 60 countries


Chairman of the Sakarya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SATSO), Akgün Altuğ, stated that Sakarya exported to 113 destinations worldwide in September, including free zones, and shared the following information:

“Poland, France, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Germany ranked as the top five countries to which we exported the most. Compared to last year, our exports increased to 60 countries in percentage terms. We also recorded significant dollar-based increases in nearly 10 countries, including Romania, the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, and France.”

According to the foreign trade data for August released by the Turkish Statistical Institute, Sakarya’s export-to-import coverage ratio stood at 124% in August.

Sakarya completed the first eight months of 2025 with a foreign trade surplus exceeding 920 million dollars.
