Sakarya Prepares for the Green Transformation and Green Economy Process

Sakarya is taking new steps to prepare its business community for the transition to a green economy. The Green Transformation & Green Economy Panel will be held on Monday, July 6, at the Sakarya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SATSO).
The panel, scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m., will be moderated by Hakan Güldağ, Chairman of the Board of Ekonomi Newspaper, and Vahap Munyar, the newspaper’s General Coordinator.
The event will feature presentations by Prof. Dr. Ömer Hulusi Dede, Director of the Climate Change and Sustainability Research and Application Center at Sakarya University of Applied Sciences (SUBÜ); A. Akgün Altuğ, Chairman of the Board of SATSO; Mustafa Çöpoğlu, Secretary General of the Eastern Marmara Development Agency (MARKA); and Gönül Mumlu, Environment and Sustainability Leader at Otokar.
Focus on the European Green Deal
Providing information about the event, SATSO Chairman Akgün Altuğ emphasized that the Chamber continues to organize activities aimed at informing and preparing its members for the green transformation process.
“In today’s business environment, sustainability, environmental responsibility, and resource efficiency have become some of the most important factors determining companies’ competitiveness. The global transformation process, driven particularly by the European Green Deal, is bringing significant changes to industry, manufacturing, and trade. As the Sakarya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, we are organizing the Green Transformation & Green Economy Panel to help our business community adapt to the green transition, identify emerging opportunities, and prepare more effectively for the future. Through this panel, we aim to provide valuable insights into the green economy perspective, transformation processes, and their impact on the business world, while offering participants different viewpoints that will support their strategic decision-making.”
