According to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), 60% of Türkiye’s total exports are carried out by İstanbul, Kocaeli, Bursa, and Sakarya. These four leading provinces contribute significantly to the national economy with a combined export volume of 164.4 billion dollars.
These figures once again demonstrate how significant and vital Sakarya’s position is within the national economy and industrial sector.
In April 2026, exports from Sakarya reached 459 million dollars, marking a 23% increase compared to the same month of the previous year and a 36% increase compared to the previous month.

Sakarya ranks 7th among the provinces with the highest export volumes in Türkiye. In addition, exports were made to 15 new destinations for the first time in April. Compared to the same period of the previous year, export volume increased to a total of 53 countries.
Sakarya increased both the percentage and dollar value of its exports in many strategic markets, particularly Spain, Romania, the United Arab Emirates, France, Bulgaria, and Morocco.
