Sakarya Commodity Exchange Determines Its Priority Areas of Action

The Sakarya Commodity Exchange has approved its Strategic Plan covering the years 2026–2029. With this strategic plan, the activities to be carried out by the institution over the next four years and its priority areas have been defined.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sakarya Commodity Exchange, Mustafa Genç, stated that the plan presents a roadmap focused on digitalization, strengthening institutional capacity, financial sustainability, and agricultural development. Chairman Genç noted that it is aimed to largely transfer registration procedures to online platforms and to complete the transition to a paperless office infrastructure.

Emphasizing that systems enabling real-time price and volume monitoring will be put into operation, Chairman Genç said that this will increase accuracy and transparency in market data. He underlined that improving registration processes is intended to enhance service quality.

Geographical indication specific to Sakarya

Touching upon efforts to strengthen institutional capacity, Chairman Mustafa Genç shared the following information:

“Practices based on training, quality management, and employee and member satisfaction will continue. We plan to put the new service building into operation as soon as possible. Financial sustainability is one of the main priorities of the strategic plan. Therefore, we will resolutely continue our efforts to increase revenues and maintain budget discipline. Producer meetings, projects, and technical services will be carried on decisively in order to contribute to regional agriculture. Efforts to obtain geographical indication status for strategic products unique to Sakarya are also included within the scope of the plan.”
