Sakarya Chamber of Commerce and Industry Celebrates Its 108th Year of Service

President of the Sakarya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SATSO), A. Akgün Altuğ, stated that the Adapazarı Chamber of Commerce and Industry, founded by 13 entrepreneurs on May 31, 1917, continues to serve its members and the city in its 108th year. In a statement made on the occasion of the 108th anniversary of its establishment, A. Akgün Altuğ emphasized that the Chamber continues to contribute to the economic and social development of Sakarya. He highlighted that the Chamber, established by 13 entrepreneurs under the leadership of Şumnulu Hacı Mehmed Hilmi Bey, has played a pioneering role in both regional and national economic development with its evolving vision and adaptable structure in a changing world since its foundation.
Türk Ticaret Bank is Reopening
President Altuğ stated that SATSO has been advancing since its inception by upholding members’ rights and maintaining its commitment to a production-oriented and innovative approach. SATSO President A. Akgün Altuğ shared the following information: “Our Chamber adds value to many areas of our city—from industry to trade, from agriculture to tourism, from culture to social life—and continues its dedicated efforts to contribute to social life as well.In 1917, under difficult conditions of the time, our founders came together with a belief in the power of production, development, and unity. They also led the founding of Türk Ticaret Bank, Turkey’s first private bank, in 1913.Today, following this deep-rooted legacy with the same faith and sense of responsibility, we continue to bring value to our members and our city. To honor this valuable heritage, we have taken steps to open a new branch of Türk Ticaret Bank within the SATSO campus. I thank everyone who contributed.”
